USAGE:
(1.) Вопросительные предложения в форме Indefinite, в которых what - что? и what с последующим существительным - какой? являются подлежащими и образуются без помощи вспомогательного глагола do: What happened there? Что случилось? What books interest you? Какие книги вас интересуют? (2.) Русские какой, какие соответствуют конструкциям what 2. + существительное без артикля и what kind of + существительное без артикля. Вопросительное предложение с конструкцией what 2. + существительное без артикля предполагает в ответе название предмета: What street do you live in? - In Oxford street. What station did we pass? - Victory station. Вопросительное предложение с конструкцией what kind of + существительное предполагает в ответе характеристику предмета: What kind of books do you like? Какие книги вы любите читать? - I like adventure books. Я люблю приключенческие книги. (3.) Вопросительное what 1. по отношению к человеку подразумевает вопрос о профессии, роде занятий этого человека: What is she? - She is a singer. Кто она? (Чем она занимается?) - Она певица.
